The concept of a “Dynasty” in sports is a largely subjective thing. If a given team wins enough titles in an allotted period of time, it is a “Dynasty.” 10 years from now, people will look at the New York Giants’ recent Super Bowl run and potentially refer to it as a Dynasty. In fact — somewhere in a dingy Secaucus, New Jersey bar — this is undoubtedly happening right now.
But does anyone seriously consider the recent Giants to be better than the St. Louis Rams teams of the 2000s?
From 1999-2004, St. Louis made the playoffs five times in six years, with a record of 56-32, including 6-4 in the playoffs. Outside of winning the Super Bowl in ’99, StL was just 3-4 in its other playoff appearances. Read more →
